Une conférence intitulée « Research Activities of KIT’s French-German Institute for Environmental Research (DFIU/KIT) in the area of sustainable urban development and the acceptance and adoption of sustainable energy technologies » aura lieu le vendredi 14 janvier à 11h30 en ligne. Elle sera animée en anglais par Rebekka Volk, Daniel Sloot, et Simon Gloeser-Chahoud.
Résumé :
The talk will give a brief overview of DFIU’s research activities in general, mainly regarding renewable energy systems and sustainable industrial development in the context of a circular economy. By presenting exemplary current research activities from ongoing projects, the presentation will focus on sustainable urban development in Karlsruhe and on the social acceptance and adoption of energy technologies. While Simon Gloeser-Chahoud (Executive Director of DFIU) will give a brief introduction of the current research focus at DFIU, Rebekka Volk (Head of the Research Group “Resource Efficiency in the Built Environment”) will give an overview of first results from the “NaMaRes” project. This research project provides a basis for supporting sustainable urban development as well as process-accompanying sustainability assessment and testing at district level. Subsequently, Daniel Sloot (Head of the Research Group “Acceptance and User Behaviour”) will present some results from his current research activities assessing the acceptance and adoption of innovative energy technologies.
