Une conférence en anglais intitulée « The Protection of Human Rights During Wartime: the special case of Ukraine » aura lieu mardi 28 mai de 17h à 19h à l'amphithéâtre du Collège doctoral européen.
Intervenant.es : Oleksandra Matviichuk et Pavlo Pushkar.
The ongoing war in Ukraine, at the heart of Europe, has sparked awareness and questions regarding how we perceive war in modern societies, the importance of advocating for Human Rights, and the role of Human Rights standards as a mechanism to resist authoritarian tendencies in war-torn societies.
Two experts will analyze the role of Human Rights in contemporary society, taking Ukraine as an example: Oleksandra Matviichuk will talk about human rights and their significance in the actual context, while Pavlo Pushkar will expose the role of human rights standards in a society affected by a war. This conference-debate is free and open for everyone in the limit of available seats. It will be followed by a convivial gathering.
